People who have attended my talks, masterclasses and workshops know I talk about Amy Cuddy’s work. Now there is the opportunity to win a ticket to see Amy Cuddy talk in London on February 2016. Here are details of the talk.
I have been discussing this lecture for some time, and now it is sold out. However I have a spare ticket and I am offering it as a competition! Register here to enter. As a leading voice and speech expert, I would meet the lucky person, and after the lecture we would discuss the content and how to APPLY Cuddy’s theories for everyday communication.
For those who are not familiar with Cuddy’s theories; she came to the world’s attention when she delivered an awe inspiring TED Talk on how body language impacts on how others perceive you. But also – crucially, how you can influence how you feel about your self, based on your body language. Watch the talk here.
Amy Cuddy has recently published a book called “Presence” and the title of the lecture is Presence (no surprise!) She will be talking about how you can manage yourself in stressful and pressurised situations by altering your body language – and therefore your internal ‘chemical’ make up. This is revolutionary. Your father telling you to “Hold your head up high” has some real scientific backing!
If you would like to win the ticket, register here. This lecture would be invaluable for anyone who works in business: whether they are speaking in meetings, presenting, speaking on the phone, public speaking… The list goes on. If you have to manage other people, particularly in pressurised situations, or deal with customers, the content of the lecture will be invaluable. Added to this, you will have the opportunity to discuss how to apply her theories to real life situations with me.
Register here for the opportunity to win the ticket.
Of course I want everyone to win a ticket for the Amy Cuddy lecture, but that isn’t possible. However, I will be sharing information from the lecture in blogs and podcasts over the next few months.
And for anyone entering: good luck!
