There are plenty of people that are delivering great webinars now. People who are real experts, and have some great content to share with others. However, sadly 🙁 I’ve also seen some great people fail to engage with their audience (or at least me) through some basic errors.
I’ve tried to listen to Vlogs where there is a tropical storm going on in the background – surprise, surprise, I couldn’t hear her and was distracted by the trees almost blowing over! I’ve watched live webinars in cafes with loud background music and waiters shouting orders in the background! I’ve seen people who don’t realise their visible when they’re fiddling with the technical side, slurping coffee; people speaking quicker and quicker because they MUST deliver a Vlog in 2 minutes!
It is such as shame, because these people are brilliant and are letting themselves down. In the latest Superstar Communicator podcast, I share 3 top tips to ensure you engage fully with your audience and that they LISTEN to you.
In the podcast I discuss how important it is NOT to distract the listener or viewer from what you are saying.
- I discuss how important it is to speak clearly, so it is easy for listeners and viewers to take in what you say.
- Ensure you don’t have any background distractions – such as background noise or the actual environment you are delivering the webinar in.
- Consider how you are standing or sitting to make sure your voice and body language is clear and inviting.
